February 02 Coach Education EveningCoach Education - Scrum & Lineout Hello Everyone, All coaches are invited to attend a coach education evening at Denbigh RFC on Monday February 15th, 7:00pm - 9:00pm. The evening will be focussed on the technical aspects of the scrum and lineout with ideas on how coaches can incorporate these within their coaching sessions. Whilst the skills are applicable to youth and senior teams the session is aimed at players between the ages of 12 & 16. This evening is the precursor to a follow on session in March looking at the tactical choices available from scrum and Lineout. Please attend if you can. January 31 Provincial Inter Squad MatchesHi Everyone, Sorry to do this again but the provincial 12's, 13's & 14's inter squad matches scheduled for this afternoon at Shotton RFC have been cancelled following a pitch inspection this morning. Whilst not experiencing a heavy snow coverage, the combination of weather conditions and players safety have prompted the decision. Please pass this on to relevant players and parents. Gogledd Cymru are actively seeking players who could play regional rugby for Gogledd Cymru Under 16’s and Under 18’s next season. Coaches are asked to nominate players they believe are capable of making the step up to regional rugby and competing against players from the Scarlets, Blues, Dragons and Osprey’s regions.
Please contact me via email (see below) providing contact details of any players you think eligible. These players must initially meet the age criteria indicated below:
Under 16’s – 1st September 1994 to 31st August 1995 Under 18’s – 1st January 1993 – August 1994
Please be responsible when putting players forward, we only want to see the best.
The deadline for accepting player details is Tuesday 2nd February. Further information will be made available once we know what numbers we’re dealing with.
Please note that current regional players, i.e. Under 15's and younger current U18 players need not attend.

Unfortunately Denbigh RFC have had a minor catastrophe at their club resulting in its inability to host Monday’s Coach Education Evening. It is with regret that I will have to postpone the event until Monday 15th February (7pm – 9pm, Denbigh RFC).
